HD-130 ignition set
Got the new ignition set, with a little fitting it fit in the springfield GI and looks awesome in the gun and turned out to be a great trigger job.

Best,
W.A.

HD-130-TR Retro Ignition Set
Just installed my true radius ignition set in for my Colt Government 1991 today. It was a fairly simple kit to install and only required minor filing on the safety to clear the sear for proper function.

Factory my trigger pull was right at 4 1/4 lbs and had lots of creep.

After it is a crisp 3 5/8 lbs with no noticeable creep and a very clean break.

I also installed a medium extreme service trigger. With proper adjustment to the set screw and minor polishing it eliminated the unnecessary amount of slack/over-travel the factory plastic trigger had.

Combining them was enough to cut group sizes in half, for me a new pistol shooter, leaving me thoroughly impressed!

The design and appearance of the bobbed spur hammer kept the classic styling I wanted to preserve in my Government model pistol. It has great eye appeal and shows attention to detail.

Thank you John @ Harrison Design for a quality product!

Jay G.

Very Nice Parts
I purchased this set as my new series 70 repro in SS had a hammer spur which was quite rough and a sear which was a little short (about 0.402 inch which prevent me from adding a TR on it using the sear jig).  So it seemed like a good idea to replace the entire ignition set.  Installation was straight forward and the thumb safety did require some slight fitting to correctly engage with the new sear.  Only slight issue was the disconnector had some slight rusting on it which cleaned up with 1200 grit paper and oil.  The resulting trigger pull was very smooth, not glass rod like, but that was intended/expected with the TR sear.

Great ignition set!
Put these parts into a basic Mil Spec Parkerized Springfield 1911.  Old trigger had a long take-up, was gritty and had an inconsistent break.  Just these parts (and a little stoning of the trigger bar) and the trigger is transformed. Now no creep and crisp break. Every bit as good as my Nighthawk Customs T4, although not as light (I did not want to tune it as light, so made no other changes).  The thumb safety required some tuning (too long and contact the sear before fully engaged), but otherwise was "drop-in." Also accidentally ordered two, and requested a return by email. John answered in a few hours said just send it back and he'd take care of it.

Perfection
I have a new Colt 01911C Series 70 Government Model  that I want to function flawlessly, yet remain faithful to J.M. Browning's original design.  John was very helpful with multiple questions.  Don't hesitate, buy the set as he's done 99% of the work.  Best trigger pull I've had in pistol including multiple custom 1911's from Springfield, Colt & Kimber.  Don't be cheap and skimp out on hammer strut.  The HD-125 Extreme Service Hammer Strut is beautiful and perfectly crafted.

These are beautifully made parts.
I installed these parts on my SA mil-spec which already had a nice trigger via some polishing and  an EGW trigger. These hammer, sear and disconnector are beautifully manufactured and polished. The edges look perfect. The sear is slightly larger and I had to take quite a lot off of the thumb safety and bend the sear spring a little bit. Trigger pull is now an average 3.5 lbs. and crisp. I am no gunsmith so it took me a while but the results are fantastic.
